Sew In Preperation
A sew in is a pretty kick ass way to rock a synthetic hair style that is long lasting and natural looking. It starts with braiding the entire head in the bee hive pattern I explained earlier. If you only wanted to sew a few tracks in for volume you will braid every so ofter until you reach desired thickness.

This makes is easier to braid on so that you just attach the track right over each braid. this creates the same look as the quickweave it just last weeks to months longer.
To create a sew in you need to have Scissors, Needle and Thread. Not your normal needle and thread however, youll need a curved hair needle and a thread that matches whatever color hair you have. Ex Brown, Black , Blonde ( The only colors I have ever seen them in)

Quick Weave II
This weave is consisdered quick because it covers the entire head and the actual track never has to be cut.
You go in a circular motion toward the top/middle of the head. I like to call this a bee hive beacause it is shaped that way as you create the style. (sounds really ugly right lol). you dont stop until you reach the crown of the head . it is very easy to make this style look like like a wig. Your best bet is to cut it really cute in some type of layers or style so it doesnt look so blah. The main thing that will make or break you when doing a quickweave is the closure partl. some people close the top using the tracked hair (this is definitly a skill/) others use a closure piece and glue it on the top. I always suggest you use the closure peice if you are not an expert at sealing closures manually. You can do a Quick Weave directly on top of you natural hair or on top of a stocking cap. These can last up to 8 weeks and are very low maintainence. Try it out!

There is two reasons why this is funny to me. Reason number one being that this is a pretty acurate definiton of a quick weave minus the mean part about it being a hideous weave. Thing number two is that Urban Dictionary entries are added by users so anyone with an opinion could have posted this. So I hope you dont think Quickweaves are hideous cause I think they are just gorgeous! Check out some examples:
Removing Glued Tracks
There is nothing worse than adding weave to your real hair for volume and removing the tracks to find your natural hair even thinner than it was before. to prevent thinning and split ends it is essential that you remove your tracks correctly.
TIPS:
1. Do not remove the tracks too quickly. if you only needed volume for a short period of time such as prom, or the weekend you should consider clip ins.
2.After at least two weeks you can start removing your tracks by first adding oil to the actual track.
3. next you can test to see how loose the tracks are. if they seem to slip out continue to oil them with hair grease or oil until they slide out. this process should be painless.
4. if it is painful DO NOT PULL. Purchase Glue remover shampoo that is usually made from the same brand that makes the glue.
5. Wash your entire head with the shampoo and tracks should begin to slip out while wet.
6. wuse a fine tooth comb to remove flue after all tracks are removed from head.
7.wash hair with normal shampoo. Make sure to use a good conditioner so that hair is revitalized.
8. let your hair breath in between weaves for at least a few days.
Now its time to weave it up again... REPEAT!

Step 1: part the natural hair where you want the first track to be placed.
Step 2:measure the length of the part using the tracked hair.
Step 3: cut the tracked hair so that the length matches the length of the part.
Step 4: Put a thin line of glue along the inside of the track. (the inside of the track is the part where you can not distinctly see the stitching). I prefer to use the 30 sec drying glue. This way the tracks dont loosen during the drying process.
(Here is a good cheap brand to try, its only $1!!!)
Step 5: place the track on the hair directly below the part. This prevents breakage at the root upon removal of the tracks. Its better not to put glue directly on scalp.)

I consider myself to be a bit of a weaveologist. My definition of a weaveologist would be:
A person who specializes in the production of artificial hair, and creating various styles.
As a weaveologist I also am able to point out a good or bad weave and identify what kind it is. A meteorologist points identifies storms, I identify bad weaves. Lol in some of the following post I will describe how to create various different hair weaves and etc. I hope you enjoy!
